Network Gateway

Versatile network gateway based on a 667MHz Intel IXP435 Network Processor. This gateway features a Infineon 5-port 100BaseT Ethernet switch, dual USB 2.0 ports, standard 32-bit PCI slot, dual Mini-PCI expansion, CF and SD memory card storage.  Internet connectivity is provided by up to four proprietary ADSL or ADSL2+ network modules.

Mass production was carried out in Shenzhen, China.


ADSL module compliant with the ITU G.992.1, G.992.2 and ANSI T1.413 specifications.  This design is based on a STMicroelectronics ADSL chipset.  Maximum downstream rate is 8Mbps and upstream rate is 800kbps.

ADSL2/ADSL2+ module compliant with the ITU G.992.3, G.992.4 and G.992.5 specifications.  This design is based on a Ikanos ADSL2+ chipset.  Maximum downstream rate is 24Mbps and upstream rate is 1.1Mbps.

Mass production was carried out in Shenzhen, China.


PTCRB certified Machine-to-Machine (M2M) device based on an ARM Cortex-M3 processor.  This device is capable of retrieving specific data from a ECU inside a vehicle through the OBD-II connector.  Cellular communication is provided through a Telit GSM/GPRS module and a surface mount antenna.

PTCRB tests were conducted with RFI Global Services (now UL's Basingstoke EMC Laboratory) in the UK. Production was carried out in Ontario, Canada.
